This is a short comic script I wrote as a submission for the Power & Magic Press Comic Anthology titled, “How to Grow Grass.” While my entry wasn’t selected, I still found the exercise of writing this rough draft to be immensely valuable. For one thing, this was the first time I have ever considered writing a NonFiction story for a comic script, which was a very vulnerable and nostalgic experience. For another, it allowed me to reflect on a time in my life that I haven’t thought about in quite some time. This script is representative of how I reflect on memories, on the important people in my life, and growing up in Phoenix, AZ.
